Plug & Pixel Logo: A Blender Study
This study rebuilt the Plug & Pixel mark as a simple three-dimensional object in Blender. The purpose was not to replace the identity, but to understand how its nested geometry behaves when depth, material and light are introduced.
What the test examined
The flat mark depends on proportion and negative space. Extruding it changes both. Corners begin to cast shadows, internal gaps can close from certain camera angles, and a material that looks clear from the front may lose the shape when viewed in perspective.
Why it matters for live visuals
A logo often arrives as a vector and eventually appears on LED, projection or a mapped object. Building a quick 3D study helps reveal which edges need separation, how highlights travel across the form and whether the identity remains recognizable in motion.
Next iteration
The useful next step is not more decoration. It is a controlled comparison: consistent camera positions, restrained materials, a simple UV layout and lighting tests at the contrast levels expected on screen. Those frames can then be evaluated on the intended display rather than only in the render window.
